<div itemprop="description">97 years old. Reunited with the love of his life wife Julia (Armaly) (1990). Dear father of Marina and John McCarthy, Tom and Debby Venne, the late Michael (1995) and Elaine Venne-Dufault (Denis), David and Kitty Venne, Rosemary Venne, and Annette and Bob Cranston. Beloved grandfather of John &lsquo;J.P.&rsquo; McCarthy Jr., Shane McCarthy (Gail), Shawna Veldhuis (Dan), Jeffrey Venne, Brian Venne, Marc Venne (Michelle), Tim Venne, and step-grandsons Chris, Brent, and Mark Dufault. Survived by sister Stella Skarbek (Ted). Predeceased by Bernadette Venne, Bertha Robert (Ed), and Sister Paulette Venne, inlaws Dave and Margaret Armaly, Myrtle and Joe Hunter, and Joe and Helen Armaly. Ed (A.J.) retired from the CIBC main branch. He was a WWII Veteran who served overseas with Essex Regiment. Dad was a master bridge player, enjoyed an active life with sports and played tennis until 91 years of age. Visitation will take place at the Janisse Brothers-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue, 519-253-5225 on Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 to Our Lady of the Assumption Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
