<div itemprop="description">Passed away on February 21, 2015. She was born October 8, 1916 the daughter of Alex and Clara Lassaline and grew up on a farm in Roseland. While working as a hair dresser and manicurist, she married Arthur Ernest to whom she was married until his death after 48 years. She taught herself needle arts, knitting, embroidery and sewing and was proficient in all of them. In the past 30 years, she switched to quilts and lovingly designed and stitched by hand 18 quilts. She is survived by 2 sisters Janette (d. Euclid) Robillard and Ramona (William) Prest: 3 daughters Arlene (d. Fred) Dim, Carolyn (Terry) Marr, Gayle (John) Stewart; 6 grandchildren David (Linda) Dim, Katrina Foster, Flicia (Joe) Mada, Bryan (Rebecca Aughton) Dulsky, Lawrence (Kelly Holmes) Stewart, Claire Stewart (Ben Reece); 6 great grandchildren Jordan and Nicole Dim, Leah Foster, Daniel Mada, Riley Aughton, Lorcan Holmes Stewart; 1 great great grandson Braeden Leonard and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Her siblings and spouses who have previously passed away are Raymond (Alma) Lassaline, Mother Madeline Claire (Urseline Nun), Clifford (Bernadette) Lassaline, Jerry(Catherine) Lassaline, Pearl (Arsene) Janisse, Carl (Aline) Lassaline. Her family would like to thank the staff of Berkshire Nursing Home and Huron Lodge for their dedicated, caring and loving attention. Thank you also to her neighbours and friends who helped make her life happy and fulfilling. As cremation has already taken place, friends may join the family on Saturday, March 7th, 2015 at Janisse Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, Ontario (519-253-5225) for visitation from 10:30am until the memorial service at 12:30 pm.
