Beloved husband of Cecile Mascaro Thibert (BA) for 1 ½ years and predeceased by Mary (Reinhart R.N.) his loving wife for 60 years of marriage. Loving father of William and wife Ines (Corrent), Christopher and wife Diane (Donaldson), Marcus and wife Cynthia (Stewart), Colette and husband Stan (Korosec), Josette and husband Chris (Kett), Yvette and husband Kevin (Page) and Mariette and husband Peter (Oomen). Pepe of William (Terri), Michael, Daniel, Katherine, Marcie (Andrew), Emily, Claire, Douglas, Anne, Irene, Norman, Lauren, Rachael, Noah, Joseph, Calvin, Sara, Christian, Mary and the late Matthew (2003). Great Grandfather of Fitzgerald <br>Dear son of the late William and Lucy Thibert (Durocher) and grandson of Michel Thibert and Arthemise (Fleury) and Cesaire and Louise Durocher (Dube), all of Belle River. <br>Dear brother of Dr. Mary Ann Molinari and her husband Joseph and the late Beatrice Brisebois and her husband Maurice. Brother in law of the late Harold (Kaye), William (Lorine of Whitby), Marguerite (Louie Boehm),Maurice (Myrtle), Robert (Alice of Stratford), Kaye (Stewart Heffernan-Latourney) and Rev. Joseph Reinhart M.M. <br>Dad was deeply devoted to his family, his profession and his faith. He will be remembered for his beaming smile, white wavy hair and compassionate bedside manner. He was a humble, hardworking, gentle man whose legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. <br>Norman attended St. Anthony and St. Francis schools in Sandwich. He graduated from Assumption High School in 1942 and from Assumption College in 1946 (class president). In 1951, he received his M.D. degree from the University Of Western Medical School and established his consulting practice in Internal Medicine in 1956 – retiring in 1999. At the outset, he was on the active staff of all five Windsor hospitals – but soon – Hotel Dieu Hospital became his “home base”. Norman was active on several committees and Chief of Medicine and President of Staff at Hotel Dieu Hospital. <br>Norman was a member of the Canadian and Ontario Medical Association and also of the Essex County Medical Society. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician. While at Western; he was president of Newman Club and a member of the Beta Kappa Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Kappa Medical Fraternity. He was a lifetime member of the Essex Golf & Country Club and also enjoyed playing in the seniors leagues at the Wildwood and Dominion Golf Clubs. <br>Norman enjoyed bridge, sculpturing with clay and was quite interested in Genealogy. <br>Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family. <br>Visitation will be at Janisse Funeral Home (519-253-5225) 1139 Ouellette Ave., Windsor on Thursday, June 23 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm with parish prayers at 8:30 pm. All family and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd at Wyandotte E.) on Friday, June 24th for mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Cremation to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.</div>
