<div itemprop="description">96 Years. Died peacefully surrounded by his family on March 24, 2014 at Windsor <br />Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus. Together again with his soulmate of 54 years the <br />late Teresa Argiro (2006). Son of the late Ilario and Carmela Argiro. Loving and devoted <br />father of Lina Knowler of Windsor, Gioia Levesque and husband Mark of Tecumseh, and <br />RoseMary Stephen of Windsor. The most amazing Nonno to Kristin Hanson (Mike), <br />Madison and Dakota Levesque, Geordon and Lindsay Stephen. Survived by sisters-inlaw <br />Anna Armaleo, Maria Codispoti and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, <br />United States, Australia and Italy. Reunited with his siblings Giuseppe and Teresa <br />Argiro, Francesco (Teresa) Argiro, Rosa (Giuseppe) Macri, Maria Rosa (Giuseppe) <br />Cimino, Elisabetta (Nicola) Caristo, Cecilia (Nicola) Audino, Giovanni (Teresa) Argiro, <br />Anna (Carmelo) Franco, Pasquale (Teresa) Argiro, and Maria (Giuseppe) Cavallo; <br />sister and brothers-in-law Frances (Tony) Demarco, Concetta (Nino) Calarco, Rosa <br />(Sam) Gerace, Pino Armaleo and Louis Codispoti. Pietro was a veteran of WWII. After <br />retiring from the Windsor Separate School Board he spent his time travelling, <br />gardening, making wine and helped raise his grandchildren. The family would like to <br />thank the front-line staff at Brouillette Manor for being his second family and for <br />everything they did for Papa. Thanks also to the entire staff of the Renal Dialysis Unit <br />(Ouellette Campus) for the exceptional and compassionate care provided to our dad <br />during the last 3 years of his life. You all go above and beyond. A special thanks to <br />Doctors Ianicello, Bagga and Cohen, Rose Kadri and 8 west staff at Ouellette Campus <br />for the care provided to our dad during the past years, and especially during his final <br />days to make him as comfortable as possible. Thanks to Zack and his crew at Crown <br />Transport, our Dad's personal &quot;Taxi Drivers&quot;. He loved you all... especially your pens!! <br />Finally, thanks to Adam for playing your guitar during his final days. You were able to <br />get one last dance out of him! <br />Visitation will be held at JANISSE FUNERAL HOME, 1139 Ouellette Ave, 519-253-5225 <br />on Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-5 &amp; 7-9 pm. Prayers will be said at the funeral home <br />on Friday at 8pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30 <br />am until time of procession to ST. ANGELA MERICI CHURCH for Mass of Christian <br />Burial at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest. Donations to the Renal <br />Dialysis Unit, Ouellette Campus, Windsor Regional Hospital would be appreciated by <br />the family. Papa loved life and fought to stay with us right to the end. <br /></div>
